Beneylu School: The Digital Classroom You Will Love!

As an ed tech teacher, I am always in search of good new tools to complement classroom teaching and make learning more efficient, interactive and fun. But more importantly I look for security and privacy when it comes to digital platforms, because student data is highly sensitive and you don’t want it to get in the wrong hands by all means. Luckily, I have come across an amazing digital classroom tool that has everything a teacher needs for maximum productivity and fun without compromising safety and online security. It’s Beneylu School.

Beneylu School has been around for 9 years now and is used by teachers from 38 countries, which is quite impressive for a very specific teaching tool. So I decided to give it a try and guess what? I love it! It’s very simple to get started and start actually using Beneylu School in your everyday classroom planning and communication.

But first let me answer your burning questions.

Beneylu School

What is Beneylu School?

Beneylu School is a digital education platform for elementary students, which can be customized with special apps for teaching, collaboration, planning, learning and communication.

It is basically a digital classroom that works both on your web browser and your mobile devices, which makes it very easy to work on the go and stay in touch with parents and students whenever and wherever you want.

Beneylu School comes with a number of awesome free apps, but also offers a number of paid apps to enhance your digital teaching experience, including but not limited to the following.

Blog

This is one of the free apps that comes with Beneylu School and it’s a great tool to be used both by teachers and students. You can use the blog to inspire students to share their thoughts and reflections with the class and their parents. It’s a safe place to also keep parents updated with all fun activities you do in the classroom. You can even go one step further and start a shared blog where you can publish whatever content you would like to share with other classes or the entire school! Think about the greatest achievements of your class!

The blog app supports comments, which fosters communication and engagement and is also a form of encouragement for students to publish and share more.

Homework Planner

Homework planner is also one of the essential apps in the Beneylu School that lets you organize and assign homework to students, as well as track who has completed the homework and submitted necessary documents. You can assign homework for the whole week ahead, set repeating tasks and even add a few help tips for extra difficult tasks. It also has a “Submission folder” where students can upload homework related documents. It’s great to have everything in a single platform nicely organized and safely stored.

Mail

There’s a million instant messaging apps out there and as a teacher you are probably communicating with students and parents through a bunch of apps. It’s exhausting, to say the least. I love that Beneylu School has thought of this too. It has a messaging app to keep all school related communication again within the platform. It works like a regular mail app, allowing you to attach media, save draft and it can be used by everyone in your classroom, including students and parents. The only drawback of the Mail app versus instant messengers is that you have to log in to your account to check new messages.

Media Library

Just like anywhere else, in Beneylu School as well Media Library is the most used app, obviously because a picture is worth a thousand words. The Media Library app allows you to store and share media content with students and parents. And the greatest part is everything is organized in a comprehensive and logical way. There are 4 folders: My Documents, Classroom workspace, User folders and School Workspace to keep all your media nice and tidy.

Workshop

Getting students to work together and collaborate is an essential part of my teaching techniques and it gets even easier and more creative on digital platforms. In Beneylu School this is done using the Workshop app. It’s a very intuitive, easy-to-use tool for students to work on group projects and create visually compelling, high-quality documents, like presentations, illustrated poems, reports, basically anything. Students can use simple drag & drop elements to create the desired layout and spice up their work with images and other multimedia content. The documents can then be exported in PDF and ePUB formats to read on a tablet, PC, or smartphone.

Parent-Teacher Contact Book

This app is great for teacher-parents communication when  it comes to official announcements and news that are published for all parents, like meeting dates, field trips, list of necessary things, etc. Parents can view your public announcements and even digitally sign to to show they’ve read your message. This way you don’t have to rely on kids informing their parents of important news or holding meetings every single time you need to talk to parents.

There are also a number of paid apps to enhance your digital teaching even further, but those are not at all essential for the success of your digital classroom on Beneylu School. Some of them include GPS, Audio Recorder and Space Operations.

Beneylu School offers a very flexible pricing plan so that every teacher can find the right match for her classroom and you can also easily switch between plans whenever you need to.

How It Works?

Beneylu School is very easy to setup and it takes only a few steps to start teaching like never before!

  1. Sign up as a teacher. First of all set up your own account and choose your plan and payment method.
  2. Create your first class.
  3. Add your students to the class.
  4. Customize your Beneylu classroom with amazing apps.
  5. Start teaching smarter!

So if you want an all-in-one efficient tool to teach your elementary students the basics of online communication while also having everything organized and safely stored, then Beneylu School is a good place to start.
