Those of you that follow my site closely know that I typically share technology related resources and rarely share printables.  However, as an elementary teacher, I know the value of having children use pencils and scissors as a valuable form of technology.  Additionally, having a five year old son, I see the importance of having Jacob practice his fine motor skills by cutting, pasting, and coloring.  There is also something positive to say about the ability for children to see objects and sort them into categories or to follow a series of steps to complete a project through the use of task cards.  There is a level of collaboration and focus that goes into these sort of activities.
I love supporting the spirit of the entrepreneur.  When Heather contacted me to help promote her site, I was excited to share the work that she had created.  Having a vision and seeing it come to life, is something to be proud of and celebrate.  Some of my favorite companies are the ones I’ve worked with since their infancy.  I feel like I’ve truly become part of their corporate family.  After getting to know Heather a bit more, it was clear to see how her 16 years in the classroom have helped to serve as the foundation for building such a beneficial resource for teachers.

There are several other sites that offer a similar service where teachers can find lessons to print and use. Some I feel are better than others.  One reason I find BuySellTeach to be helpful is for the following reasons:

  • freebies offered on the site
  • easily organized categories
  • created and ran by a teacher

I also believe in competition.  When one site seems to have the monopoly on the market, they tend to sway the direction of the industry.  Having other companies in the market help to level the playing field and maintain a healthy balance for everyone involved.

In order to access the free digital activities, you will first need to become a member.  Don’t worry… it is free!  The site is secure, so to protect your files, you will need to create a username and login.
Tip: After I quickly created an account, I had to verify my information through an email the site sent. When I went to check my inbox, I couldn’t find the  email the company sent.  It was hiding in my Spam Folder.  Be sure to check there if you can’t locate the confirmation email.
If you plan to sell products on the site, you may want to upgrade to a Gold Membership so that you can keep 80% of your sales.  However, if you plan to primarily use the site for resources, the free Silver Membership would be a good fit.
