I’m so excited that I successfully recorded my first Skype session! Not only did I record my Skype call; I also uploaded it to my blog to share with my awesome readers, beautiful students, and supportive families. Whoo-Hoo! Now, you can record your Skype calls with authors for literacy chats, city council members for social studies, business and community professionals for class, or even other classrooms to connect globally!!! Go technology!
How to Record your Skype Calls
download Super TinTin (hint: you can do the trial to test it – five min. max. for calls for the trial)
start your Skype as usual (click here for Skype 101 basics)
pull up the Super TinTin screen (hint: I found it by clicking on my ‘start’ menu – typing ‘Super TinTin’ in the ‘search’ box. It was under ‘programs’)
click the red triangle to start recording
the recording saves – go up to file (top of tiny recording screen)
then, you can upload the file… my computer automatically started a folder for me with my Super TinTin recordings… nice, huh?

My Second Grade Class
We have been selected out of over 150 nominations as a part of Kumon’s Thank a Teacher Contest. Kumon has chosen ten classrooms for a chance to win $1,500 for their students and classes. They’re picking the top three (out of the ten) to win. The three classrooms with the most votes will each receive $1,500. We could really use your vote! Please help to support our second graders. You can vote each day until Friday. Click here to vote for Mrs. Klein’s Class – nominated by Kimberly Zaiden. Thank you so much!!
I’d really appreciate any additional nominations for Kleinspiration in this category. You can click here to read more about the Edublog contest. They only accept blogs who receive a lot of nominations. So, if you’d like to nominate Kleinspiration in the Best New Blog category, please click here. I’ll be putting together my Edublog nominations in a post this weekend. If you nominate Kleinspiration, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can be sure to link to you in a blog post as a super big thanks!!
