Pinterest: a useful tool for teachers
I recently participated in a ‘blog hop’ which is where a community of bloggers write posts to be a guest author on other blogger’s sites. I had the pleasure of writing for my friend, Denise. She’s a wonderful and creative second grade teacher in Florida.
I often get asked how I use Pinterest, and is it just ‘one more tool’ to learn. I didn’t jump on the Pinterest train at first. I waited quite a while before finally putting forth the effort to set up my boards and really begin Pinning. I couldn’t imagine staying organized without Pinterest.
There are many bookmarking and networking tools available; however, I really enjoy the ease of use Pinterest offers along with the visual component. While Pinterest isn’t for everyone, I do believe it is worth checking out.

On my guest post, I share how I use Pinterest:
- as a bookmarking tool
- as a tool to find resources
- to organize #edtech finds
- to share information
- to follow #edtech Pinners
On Denise’s site, I also recommend a few people to start following along with some recent cool tech finds & ideas!
